Back to Sorrento - We Wish!!!

Hi to all. We are missing you all but enjoying your comments and photos. Some great shots there to admire, and inspiring places we would love to visit. How much do you charge as tour guides? We have had some lovely spring weather with a few showers and the grass is green again. Daylight saving has begun but I am still getting up early and coming home late. Olive's knee is progressing well, but with long range planning we have decided to put our house on the market and look for something all on one level with no stairs. No offers as yet. The Laney's are in WA and the Roberts Padgetts and Clissolds left Sydney today to join them. The wild flowers are in bloom, so they will have a great time as they return together on the Indian Pacific. Looking forward to your return. Love and best wishes for a safe return. G&O

enyoying the blog and photos

Hi Chris, Doug, Denise and John,

We are so glad that you are having a great time. You'll remember all the funny stories to tell everyone. Rog and I are fine. School holidays for Matt are almost over. We enjoyed having Nic and Dave, Ryan and tegan come to Lunch with us and the Stokes family last Sunday. I hadn't even realised Nic was doing her Diploma in Primary teaching and it's now long now till she finishes. We were out at Vanessa Willey's 30th party last night and our Matt went too. It was at a photo gallery called Kramer's Ranch at the base of the Macquarie Pass. Dee Kramer is a photographer and has set up a gallery to display his photos. Michelle and Tim know him from their church. There weren't many people there we knew apart from the Willeys and another one of Vanessa's bridesmaids.

Hope the last week or so of your trip is equally enjoyable. Love Rhondda and Roger.

Now that you have been to that part of Italy I will have to go home and watch "Avanti" and just drool over the scenery

Hello again happy travellers

What a wonderful holiday you are all having.  It all sounds very exciting and there must be lots and lots of photos to see. So glad John has found many coffee shops, he must be in his element over there!!!  I can still remember waking in the morning to the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting up the stairwell.  Melinda, Paul and the children left on Friday to go to Fiji.  The children were so excited, as you can imagine.  I'm sure they won't be lost for words when they come home.  Keep those cameras going and we'll be looking for the next update.

Luv Wendy and Gary

Enroute to Mollymook

Hi All,

Today we woke to the promise of a hot day in downtown Burwood, as the firebrigade sirens sounded in our ears, we knew we were ready for a day of interesting travels.  The sites of Kiama, Berry and Ullabulla await us.  Bags are packed (well almost), swimmers ready to go and of course a good book and some DVD's.  Mollymook here we come. Bring on the local fish and chips, bbq chicken and hot bread shop.  Perhaps we will sample the local coffee.  Sounds fabulous!!!!  We are inspired by your travels.

Feeling very envious

 Hi Denise & John

As the heading says, I am very envious of your travels, it all sounds wonderful.  I expect you will have extra pounds on before you get home, it seems to be a culinary delight.  No real news from here, same old, same old.   Mum passed her licence and turned 85 on Monday and we had a lunch out on Sunday, which was very pleasant.  Damian came down to spend a week with us and ended up having 4 wisdom teeth out, so not much of a holiday for him.  He seems to be OK now.    That's about the extent of my news, sad really, but I am glad you are having such a great time.  I look forward to hearing all and seeing the rest of the photos.

Love Janette & Paul

Glad to get all the travel news.

HI there. You all seem to be enjoying the experience tremendously and why wouldn't one? I think of the towns you mentiond Siena was my favourite but I have not been to Cortona. Rog and John had a great time bike riding and kayaking. our bble study gtaway weekend was great. We had 17 people staying in the Old Rectory at Kangaroo Valley plus Kay and Steve and Rog and I staying in ensuite cabins at the Glen Mack Caravan Park. We had great weather for the weekend and the kids cavorted in the river .

No other news. Continue to enjoy it to the full. Love Rhondda and Roger.

Thank youfrom Dubai

 Hi you all,

First of all, Thanks for making my lonely day into such a memorable day in Venice. I still cant get over the fact that you welcomed me ( a complete stranger) into your precious holiday with open arms. Bless you!

Just a quick note to let you know, that we had a great time in Rome. For the Vatican tour we engaged a private tour guide Mr. Vincent (in an Official Tour kiosk to to the left of St.Pieter Basilica, just before the church if you are walking from metro stop). they charge Euros 50 per head. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We also enjoyed the San Giovanni and Sancta Scala was a moving experience.

I am back at work physically....mentally still floating between Sistine Chapel and the Colloseum at night.

My invitation to Dubai remains open to you and your friends. Would love it if you can keep in touch.

With fond memories and Loads of love,

Pamela & John,

Rome Here You Come!!

Hi Doug, Chris, John & Denise,

Please throw coins in the Trevi Fountain for us.  Each day in Rome promises to be an adventure in culture and history, while in Australia each day promises either a new NSW Premier or a new Federal Opposition Leader.  Never a dull moment!!  All well and happy.

Swiss Cheese

 Hi to all.

We loved all your pictures. Keep the cameras rolling. We notice John is missing his Swiss hat. Please buy him a beanie to keep off the frost. It all sounds wonderful and we wish we were there. Missing you all. Love from G&O.

saying hello and enjoy Florence

Hi Chris, Denise, Doug and John,

Greetings. your time in Venice sounded just great. I liked Burano a lot too. The pastel colours of the houses and the laces were wonderful. Hope florence is as wonderful for you as it was for me. I especially liked it the first time I was there but the last time, on a group bus trip, I wasn't quite so impressed. Glad you didn't buy the huge piece of glass but I hope you found a smaller piece to fit in your luggage.

Enjoying all your comments and experiences vicariously. Roger and John took off for Forster and Myall Lakes this morning for 3 days, kayaking and bike riding and staying with John's mothe in Forster.Thankgiving service and Caroline and Graham's chat to the church went well as did AGM. Our bible study group is off to our annual weekend away at Kangaroo Valley this weekend.  Looking forward to it- Sevilles, Millers, Talls, Sargeants, Nances, McDonaghs and ourselves. Weather is wonderful at present- mid 20's and lots of sun. Preschool open day went well- really warm  with 27degrees the forecast but not sure if it reached that. Relax and enjoy every minute. Love Rhondda and Rog(in absentia)
